Week 2: The Lenham Virtual School Remember that we will be following revised time-tables, starting today. This is in response to student, parent and teacher feed-back following the first week running our virtual school:


Thanks to staff at The Lenham School for their dedication this week. Some staff needed to be with their families and we have colleagues on-line from France, Ireland and of course Kent. (Miss Goubet supporting students on-line with their French from her family home in France...)


Congratulations to everyone for making this week a success in such challenging times. We have seen incredible work from our students and magnificent support from parents and carers. Thank you. The Very Spotted Ladybug by William, Year 7.


Today we were impressed by the number of students engaging with our Virtual School. The range of activities was impressive from Computer Coding by Miles to Baking by Henry:


There are many organisations offering free access to resources during the school closure period. The following link will provide free access to a selection of Audio Books:


We seem to be overcoming the early system problems and many students are finding a way of working that best meets their needs. Here we can see an example of a student working in their exercise book before sharing digitally with their subject teacher in BTEC Sport.


What an amazing first day of The Lenham Virtual School. Students have continued their learning with lots of interesting assignments. Subject teachers have been online to support students and parents. Here we have year 7 Maths by Ophelia...

Thank you to all our students and staff who brought in donations for the local food bank to help those in need this Christmas. We really hope these boxes will help spread a little festive cheer.


Thank you to all our students who voted in yesterday's mock election with and - the Sixth Form and Leadership Team of Prefects did a fantastic job of organising and running the event.


Here are BTEC Level 3 Applied Science students, George and Amy, opening our brand new Science Centre today! We are absolutely thrilled with this fantastic, new, state-of-the-art facility at our school.

We are thrilled to announce that two of our students, Megan (Yr 12) and Tara (Yr 13), have their amazing artwork on display as part of the John Downton Awards at Sessions House, County Hall in Maidstone. You can visit the exhibition until 8 January 2020. Good luck Megan and Tara!

We are absolutely delighted to announce that The Lenham School has been rated GOOD, following our recent inspection! This really reflects the hard work and commitment of all of our fantastic students, parents, staff and governors - read more here!


On the 1 & 8 July, pupils from School received training from our Mathematics specialist, they also had to run, cycle or row the distance between Headcorn to Lenham. They calculated their distance into (km) and (miles). One group achieved over 50km

Fantastic event today led by the Change4life Ambassadors from . Year 3 & 4 had a great time learning about healthy eating and the importance of being active.


With warmer weather forecast next week, we will be moving to a ‘blazers optional’ dress code from the 25th June until the end of term. All other uniform requirements unchanged.


The Lenham School Chess Club meets every Monday, Tuesday and Friday lunchtime in T Block – all are welcome! We are currently preparing for our next tournament. If you would like to join the club please speak to Mr Cairns.

Congratulations and thank you to students, parents and staff for a wonderful Cake Sale in aid of Macmillan, we are pleased to have raised an amazing £288!


On a cold, blustery evening the U15 Girls Football played with passion and determination. The team at the top of the league, Marsh Academy, could not get the ball past our tremendous defence of Chantelle, Olivia and Chelsea with Rhiannon in goal.


During today’s break we are holding a Cake Sale for MacMillian Cancer Research, what an amazing job everyone has done in preparation


Congratulations to our fantastic trampolining squad, 5 of whom made it through to the Kent finals on Sunday. Harry Russell finished a very impressive 2nd along with his U13 team in the boys Inter competition.


Great determination shown by our year 7 & 8 at the competition. All performed well rehearsed routines & represented the school with pride.

Fantastic Lacrosse tournament on our 3G pitch this morning.Our Year 9 leaders are doing a great job keeping score & timing the games. Well done to & East Borough Primary School for their amazing skills & outstanding sporting attitudes.
